Review JD Mart
Is JD Mart Worth It for Sellers? Benefits, Pricing and a 90-Day Test
Short answer
JD Mart can be worth it for sellers whose buyers already search online for their category and who can answer enquiries within minutes. Its benefits include a product catalogue, RFQ-based leads, a seller dashboard, optional escrow and, since July 2026, a Super Sixer Pack aimed at qualified leads. JD Mart does not publish a seller price list, so get a written quote, run a time-boxed test, and continue only if the cost per order is below the gross profit that order earns.

JD Mart seller benefits
Drawn from Justdial's own product descriptions (official page (opens in a new tab), Google Play (opens in a new tab), App Store (opens in a new tab)), these are the tools a seller gets access to:
- Catalogue visibility: list your full product range with images, video, specifications, price and MOQ, so buyers can assess you before they call.
- RFQ leads: buyers post requirements that sellers in the category can respond to, including "Get Best Price" requests sent to several sellers at once (FAQ (opens in a new tab)).
- Direct contact: buyers can call, chat or send an enquiry; sellers get notifications of incoming leads.
- Seller dashboard: track leads generated and view analytics in real time.
- Trust signals: eligibility for the JD Verified and Trusted stamp, which Justdial says makes vendors more likely to be chosen.
- Order tools: accept and manage orders, choose from shipping partners, and use JdPay Escrow for payments.
- Newer packages: in July 2026 Justdial introduced the JD Mart Super Sixer Pack, described as offering highly qualified lead access and premium 3D catalogues (Business Today (opens in a new tab)).
The benefit that matters most is not on any feature list: being in front of business buyers at the moment they are searching for a supplier. Everything else, from the catalogue to the dashboard, exists to turn that moment into an enquiry and the enquiry into an order.
The ecosystem argument, and its limits
JD Mart's pitch rests partly on Justdial's reach. As of 30 June 2026, Justdial reported 56.1 million active listings and 639,200 active paid campaigns (Business Today (opens in a new tab)), and 192.9 million unique visitors in the quarter (JM Financial market news (opens in a new tab)). Those are company-wide numbers for a business dominated by local consumer search. They show the size of the network JD Mart can draw buyers from; they do not tell you how many bulk buyers in your category use JD Mart each month. Treat the ecosystem as a reason to test, not as evidence that the test will succeed.
Where JD Mart gives sellers an edge
Three features give JD Mart sellers a practical advantage. First, escrow converts cautious buyers: a buyer hesitating to pay an unfamiliar supplier can pay through JdPay Escrow at no cost to them, and the seller pays only a 1% handling fee per transaction (FAQ (opens in a new tab)). Second, Get Best Price brings ready buyers: requests arrive with a defined requirement, so a seller who replies quickly with a complete quote is competing for a real order rather than a vague enquiry. Third, the platform keeps improving for sellers: Justdial's Super Sixer Pack, launched in July 2026, focuses on qualified lead access and premium 3D catalogues (Business Today (opens in a new tab)). For sellers already advertising on Justdial, JD Mart also adds a B2B audience under the same company relationship.
JD Mart pricing for sellers: what is known
What the sources do establish:
- Escrow fee: Justdial's FAQ states sellers are charged 1% per transaction as an escrow handling fee, and escrow is free for buyers (JD Mart FAQ (opens in a new tab)).
- Package structure: Justdial's annual report describes monthly and annual subscriptions and premium and non-premium memberships, with a monthly option where the customer pays a down payment followed by monthly payments (Annual Report 2023-24 (opens in a new tab)). This describes Justdial's packages generally, not JD Mart alone.
- Self sign-up: analyst coverage notes Justdial introduced self-sign-up so SMEs can start paid campaigns themselves (ICICI Securities, July 2024 (opens in a new tab)).
- Auto-renewal: the same coverage mentions an auto-renewal feature on monthly plans executed through ECS (electronic clearing). Check whether your plan renews automatically and how to stop it.
Questions to ask before you pay
- Exactly which categories and cities does the package cover?
- Is there a cap on leads or RFQ responses, and how are leads shared between competing sellers?
- What does the Super Sixer Pack include, at what price, and how does it differ from other packages?
- What is the minimum term, and what are the renewal and cancellation terms, including auto-renewal on monthly plans?
- Is GST included in the quoted price?
- What does the verified stamp require, and is it included?
- Can I see last month's enquiry volume in my category and city, in writing?
- What happens to my catalogue and listing if I stop paying?
A sales team that answers these clearly in writing is giving you what you need to make a sound decision. Vague answers are a reason to choose a shorter term or a smaller package.
A simple break-even test
Whether any lead platform is worth it comes down to one comparison: the cost of winning an order through the platform versus the gross profit that order earns. Work it out like this:
- Qualified leads = total enquiries × share that match your product, quantity and location.
- Orders won = qualified leads × your win rate.
- Cost per order = what you paid for the period ÷ orders won.
- Worth it if cost per order is comfortably below the gross profit of an average first order, or of the expected repeat business if buyers reorder.
| Item | Value | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Spend for the test period | ₹30,000 | Hypothetical; use your actual quote |
| Enquiries received | 120 | Count from the dashboard |
| Qualified (relevant, real buyers) | 30 (25%) | Your own judgement on each lead |
| Orders won | 6 (20% of qualified) | Track in a sheet |
| Cost per order | ₹5,000 | ₹30,000 ÷ 6 |
| Average gross profit per first order | ₹8,000 | Your margin, not revenue |
| Verdict | Above break-even | Continue, and test improving the qualification rate |
Three ways the same test can fail, and what each means
- Few enquiries at all. Either buyers in your category don't search JD Mart much, or your categories and titles don't match how they search. Fix listings before concluding.
- Plenty of enquiries, few qualified. Your categories are too broad, or price and MOQ are missing so buyers can't self-filter.
- Qualified leads, few orders. The problem is usually response speed, price or follow-up, not the platform. Compare your quotes with competing listings.
Count repeat business
Wholesale buyers reorder. If a typical customer buys four times a year, the first order understates their value. A conservative approach is to count only the first order for the go/no-go decision, then use expected repeat orders to decide how much to scale.
A 90-day plan to find out
Weeks 1-2: build a complete catalogue
Every product with clear photos, specification, price or price range, MOQ and delivery area. Thin listings attract vague enquiries. See how to get leads on JD Mart.
Weeks 1-12: log every lead
Date, source (call, chat, RFQ), product, quantity, city, response time, qualified yes/no, outcome. A spreadsheet is enough.
Respond fast
Aim to reply within minutes during business hours; buyers comparing several suppliers often go with whoever answers first with a clear quote.
Week 6: mid-point review
If most leads are irrelevant, fix categories and product descriptions before judging the platform.
Week 12: decide
Run the break-even sum above. Compare it with the same numbers from any other channel you use, such as IndiaMART.
Who is most likely to benefit, and who should compare first
More likely to benefit
- Wholesalers and distributors of standard products with clear specifications
- Sellers with someone available to answer calls and chats all day
- Businesses already using Justdial for local visibility
- Categories where buyers compare several quotes before ordering
- Sellers who want escrow when dealing with new buyers
Compare alternatives first
- Highly custom or engineered products sold through long sales cycles
- Export-focused sellers who mainly need overseas buyers
- Sellers who can't respond quickly or track leads
- Businesses that sell mainly to government, where GeM (opens in a new tab) is the relevant channel
- Sellers who need a published lead allocation to plan around
JD Mart compared with the obvious alternative
Most sellers weighing JD Mart are also considering IndiaMART. The biggest practical difference for budgeting is transparency: IndiaMART publishes a weekly BuyLead allocation table by plan (IndiaMART help (opens in a new tab)), so you can estimate a floor of allocated leads before you buy. JD Mart publishes no equivalent. IndiaMART reported 218,000 paying suppliers and 26 million unique business enquiries in the June 2026 quarter (IndiaMART Q1 FY27 release (opens in a new tab)), which also means more competing paid sellers in many categories. Neither fact settles which is better for you; both are reasons to test side by side. The full analysis is in JD Mart vs IndiaMART.
Common mistakes that make JD Mart look worse than it is
- Signing an annual plan before running any test.
- Judging results in the first two weeks, before listings are complete.
- Measuring by number of leads rather than orders and margin.
- Letting enquiries wait overnight or over the weekend.
- Copying the same short description across every product.
- Not separating JD Mart leads from Justdial leads in your records, so neither can be evaluated.
Key takeaways
- JD Mart's seller tools are solid; whether they pay depends on your category and response speed.
- The only published seller fee we found is the 1% escrow handling fee; package prices need a written quote.
- Run a 60-90 day test with a lead log and decide on cost per order, not lead count.
Frequently asked questions
How much does JD Mart cost for sellers?
Justdial does not publish a JD Mart seller price list in the sources we reviewed. Request a written quote that states categories, cities, term and GST. The one published fee we found is the 1% escrow handling fee per transaction in the FAQ (opens in a new tab).
Can I list on JD Mart for free?
The apps are free to download and sellers can register a business, but the visibility and lead features available without payment may be limited. Ask what a free account includes in your category.
Is the JD Mart Super Sixer Pack worth it?
We can't say yet: Justdial described its aims (qualified lead access and 3D catalogues) but the coverage we reviewed did not include price or lead volumes. Apply the same break-even test as any other package.
Is JD Mart better than IndiaMART for sellers?
It depends on your category and buyers. See our side-by-side comparison.
